The infrared camera will produce images based on the thermal energy of the road, precisely measuring and locating points with differentiating thermal energy, which indicates the existence of below-surface pavement defects
and provides clues about their scope. The LiDAR camera will use laser beams to produce three-dimensional imaging of the road and its defects. The IMU module will measure the angular rate and acceleration of the imaging system in different directions to modify and increase the quality of the output images.
